Identificación del Mycobacterium avium subsp. paratuberculosis y su seroprevalencia en rebaños ovinos de Aguascalientes

With the objective of identifying presence Paratuberculosis (PTB), an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium avium ssp paratuberculosis (MAP), in sheep, through pathological studies, bacterial culture and IS900 PCR, as well estimating seroprevalence to MAP. The present cross-sectional study, was conducted 16 different flocks, with serum 2415 adult sheeps, analyzed Enzyme-Linked ImmunoSorbent Assay (ELISA); nine sheep were used clinical signs suggestive PTB, from which samples obtained for identification studies; obtaining 51.3% animals seropositive MAP (1239/2415), 100% herds (16/16); Bacterial isolation its PCR founded five cases (5/9) corresponding 31.25% (5/16). Confirming paratuberculosis, a high frequency flocks Aguascalientes.
